Celebrating 17 Years at Keyrus: A Journey of Growth and Purpose
A Milestone Worth Reflecting On
17 years! How did that happen? That’s the question I get most often when I reflect on my work anniversary at Keyrus in early 2025. It doesn’t feel like that long, but the answer is simple: I feel good at Keyrus. I feel listened to, respected, and trusted—feelings I’ve had since the very first day I joined.
The First Steps in Data
After completing 3 years of computer science studies with a specialization in Business Intelligence and Data, I spent a year working in Paris and Vancouver for Business Objects (now part of SAP). In 2008, a friend from my engineering school told me, “Come to Brussels, it’s cool. Come to Keyrus, it’s cool. They do exactly what we studied.” So, I made the move.
Building a Team, Building a Career
A year later, I invited another friend from our project group to join Keyrus. The team reunited, and we had some amazing times, learning and growing together.
While my friends at other consulting companies have been often frustrated about being just a number, I have always felt lucky to be part of Keyrus.
Diverse Projects, Rich Experiences
I’ve had the opportunity to work on diverse projects across industries such as telecom, banking, insurance, transport, and construction. From working solo as a Business Objects expert to collaborating with Keyrus teams, my journey has been full of varied challenges and rewarding experiences.
I started as a technical expert, focusing on everything related to Business Objects—visualization, ETL, platform installations, and data modeling. Over time, my role has evolved, and today, I find myself closer to the business side as a data and business analyst. I’m now part of an amazing team delivering high-quality dashboards for our clients.
With the experience I’ve gained over the years, I also find great fulfillment in helping my colleagues grow, as a coach or simply as a teammate.
I’m also involved in Keyrus’ ESG team, where I have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that prioritize environmental sustainability, well-being, and equity. These values are close to my heart and offer a refreshing perspective on the work we do.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
Looking back on these 17 years, I can confidently say that there has always been room to evolve, and continuously add new building blocks to my experience. I am proud of the relationships I've built and the positive impact I’ve been able to make—both at Keyrus and with our clients. Here’s to the next chapter!
